Current Pieces

Hello Everyone...

So right now there are a few things to update you about.... First! Rudy Andrade has completed two new pieces...
We have "The Dancer"

His favorite part about the dancer is how he was able to capture the movement of a flamenco dancer as she spins around. Personally I like the colors, it just stands out and im all about color!

The second piece is of Frida, but is quite different than all his fridas, and very different from all the Frida paintings I've ever come across. This painting is one you have to see up close, for the camera doesnt capture the texture right.

Anyway, here it is.... Frida

Frida

Hello Art Lovers,

On this page you will find updates on my dads artwork. I will occasionally snap shots of him working on his latest projects, and of course I'll post the final product... This site is mainly my point of view on his artwork, simply just my opinion. I think very highly of the work my dad does. My plan is to share his work with you and maybe get him more exposure along the way. For those of you who are experiencing his artwork for the first time...ENJOY.

Although my dad has had many subjects in the past, he is currently working in a Frida phase. His most recent image is of Frida when she was in her late 30's. In many of the images I've seen, Frida has very masculine features, (I mean come on now... who, today, thinks a woman with a mustache and uni brow is sexy... Not I.) and many artist paint her exactly how they see her... she gets her mustache, her uni brow, and they exaggerate them. On the other hand, my dad, he paints Frida with her masculine features but in a more... subtle way.

What I like most about my dads work, is his use of colors... When my sister and I were younger our classmates would call our dad Mr. GQ, (Mr. Gentleman's Quarterly), he has a good sense of fashion... and he will incorporate that to his paintings. It's the little things to me that make the difference in my dads paintings, it could be where he places a flower, or the type of earring he chooses, and more often than not, its the colors he chooses to use together that make his paintings pop.

I will post more images of my dads work as soon as I get a chance... Feel free to leave comments, good feedback is always welcomed... and well if you don't have anything nice to say, move on, and be done with it. (Sorry if my writing is bad and very elementary... I haven't written anything for about eight months now. I'm sure it will get back up to par very soon!)
